Hearing loss effects more than just humans

Hearing loss effects more than just humans

Human’s are not the only mammals who experience hearing loss. The caring people at The Great Pyrenees Rescue of Northern Calif are working with a girl with a hearing loss teaching her sign.

So-Lo (named because he is so low to the ground), who is NOT up for adoption, is an adult , full grown, pure-bred, genetic dwarf Great Pyrenees. He was rescued in Arizona by Peggy Watson and adopted by Randy and Debi Carpadus to work with pigmy goats (no joke!) until it was determined that he had hearing issues. Can’t guard if you can’t hear the bad guys coming! Now he guards the office and his bed. This test determined that he is about 90% deaf.

He also has some vision issues but that’s another story.

Here the tones are being generated and the data recorded
